The Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service (VVCS) is a free and confidential service available to veterans from all wars and peace-keeping missions, and their families, from 15 offices in all capital cities and several regional centres.

The VVCS offers a range of counselling services which include:

  • Individual, couple, family and group counselling focused on both the therapy and education of veteran-related issues
  • Crisis counselling.
  • Counselling services to rural and remote areas through the Country Outreach Program which relies on veteran communityvolunteers and contract counsellors.
  • Group-based lifestyle management programs.
  • Direct involvement with PTSD inpatient and outpatient programs.
  • Referral service to appropriate government and community agencies, and private clinicians.
  • Toll free after hours emergency telephone counselling, 1800 011 046 in all areas except NSW 1800 043 503 and FNQ 1800 019 332.
