Joanne has been member of the CAMH Team for 11 years and has worked in administration for over 20 years.

Joanne has a belief that men do need to address their health, not just for their own sake, but for the sake of their families and believes that we all should be aware of our family history, as her own father had diabetes for 20 years and she only became aware of this fact 12 months prior to his death.  Joanne believes that family history impacts not only on men and women, but may impact on future generations. 

“If we can be aware of our own family's health history then when we go to the Doctor or we take our children, we can inform the Doctor of our health background.  We can also be aware of what we or our children may face as time goes by.”
