Dr Fred Eggleston headed for the bush in 1982 and with Dr Brian Cole established a thriving community General Practice. An interest in Community and Health Promotion led to his involvement in health promotion within the Daylesford District, including work with schools, local government and community organisations. This culminated in the development of our own Men's Health initiative which now extends well beyond the Hepburn Shire. Currently he is the Director of Medical Services for the Hepburn Health Service and has formerly held a position on the Committee of Management of the Ballarat and District Division of General Practice and has just retired from the position of Medical Director for the Hepburn Shire. Dr Fred Eggleston is a husband (of 22 years) and a father of four (2 of each), ranging from 10 years to 20 years and has an interest in flying and cycling.
