  • 63% would be interested in supporting a Men's Health Night
  • 80% felt that the session made them think about their own health and wellbeing
  • 16% indicated that they will visit a Physician as a result of the session
  • 60% indicated that they already visit a Physician
  • 13% indicated that they will think about it

WORKPLACE HEALTH SESSION

  • 94% of the respondents were male, 6% were female
  • 35% of the respondents were in the 40-49 year age group
  • 29% were 30-39, 23% 50-59, and 5% in the 60+ years age group
  • 52% of the respondents were in the Category of Professional
  • 17% were semi professional, 11% were in the Trades, 5% were in a Manual Occupation and 11% were in Sales
  • 82% were married, 11% were with a common law partner, 5% were never married
  • 76% of the respondents were a parent, 17% were not parents
  • 47% had children living at home and 47% had children not living at home
  • Age ranges of the children were between 2 and 22 years of age
  • The respondents felt that they had a good relationship with their children, average 8 out of 10
  • The respondents felt that their children rated them the same 8 out of 10
  • The respondents rated their general level of health and their level of content, lower than the relationship with the children, averaging 7.5 out of 10

    The top issues in regard to the areas of men's health important to them were:

  • Exercise/Fitness
    Stress Management
    Wellbeing
    Heart Disease
    Cancer
    Cholesterol
    Retirement
    Blood Pressure
    Alcohol
    Diabetes

  • 29% of the respondents had not visited a Family Doctor in the last year.
  • 35% had visited once, 23% had visited 2-3 times, 5% visiting 6-7 times or more than 8 times
  • 41% of the respondents rated their last experience with a Family Doctor as Good. 29% rated in satisfactory and 23% very good
  • 41% visited in the Family Doctor in regard to issues, 29% for sickness and 23% for a injury
  • 29% had seen another health professional in the last year 2-3 times, 23% had been once, 35% had not visited another health professional
  • As a result of the program 82% of the respondents are more likely to visit a Family Doctor
  • 55% felt that their was not enough being done to address Health Issues in the workplace
  • 94% felt that the Company should invest in their Health and Wellbeing by conducting more Sessions like this
  • Most of the respondents were happy with their relationships, although some felt that their relationships with:

    Partners
    Workmates
    Self
    Children
    Friends
    and Ex-Partner

    made them feel depressed or ordinary

  • Most respondents were happy with their sex/intimacy within their relationships, although some felt depressed or ordinary in regard to:

    Lack of Good Sex
    Lack of Sex
    Intimacy/Love
    Lack of opportunity
    Inability to perform

  • Most respondents were happy with their work/income although some felt the issues of:

    Stress/Tension
    Retirement
    Long Hours
    Isolation
    Management

    made them feel depressed or ordinary

  • The issues that they would like to address most are:

    Relationship/Family Issues

    Workplace
